Why neem wood?

Neem grows across the Indian subcontinent, where its wood has been used for kitchen tools and combs for generations. It is dense and close grained, so it wears smooth with use and does not hold on to the smell or taste of what it touches. We leave it unstained and unvarnished.

How do I care for kitchen utensils?

Wash by hand with a mild cleaner, without abrasives, and dry afterwards. Avoid the dishwasher, prolonged soaking, direct flame and strong heat.

Combs, brushes and soap dishes

Remove hair regularly. Wipe wooden parts with a slightly damp cloth and dry them. Do not immerse brushes or combs. Drain soap dishes and wipe beneath them.

Will I receive the exact piece in the photograph?

The photograph shows the model. Natural wood grain and colour vary between pieces.

Is everything made entirely from neem?

Our kitchen utensils are natural neem wood. For the bathroom pieces, the descriptions say which parts are wood, since a brush is made of several components. Jute trays come from a separate maker.
